Turnchapel to Mount Batten: Path Closure and Diversion
January 2021: A short section of the South West Coast Path National Trail has been diverted for public safety reasons. This is due to erosion underneath a raised, stepped concrete section of path. An alternative route is available using nearby pavements (as marked on the plan). If heading from Turnchapel to Mount Batten, please follow St John’s Road to the junction with Lawrence Road. Turn right and follow Lawrence Road to the roundabout, and then turn right onto Shaw Road to re-join the Trail. The reverse also applies.
