Report a problem

We want everyone to be able to walk the Coast Path safely and easily, and so if you come across any problems whilst walking it please let us know using the form below so that we can get someone out to fix it.

If you come across a recent cliff fall or another hazard that presents an imminent risk to walkers, as this website is not monitored 24/7 to get a quicker response please either contact the Coastguard on 999, or the relevant County Council.

We work closely with local authorities and the National Trust to help ensure that the Coast Path is maintained to a high standard and regularly liaise with rangers and wardens who look after the coast path on a day-to-day basis.

Cutting back of vegetation is well underway across the whole of the National Trail. If not already carried out, encroaching vegetation will soon be cleared.  Cutting is often timed to enable wildflowers and pollinators to flourish.

To help us locate the problem, in the 'where is it' please include the nearest place name (or description), and ideally a grid reference or GPS coordinates.

As an alternative to completing the form below you can also email us - but if you do please identify the location as precisely as possible and ideally attach a photo.

Your Contact Details

You don't need to give us all these details if you do not wish, but it is often helpful for a path manager to be able to contact you if further information about the problem is required.

Data Protection Act Information from this form will be held on computer. It will be used only for the purpose of dealing with the problems which you report, and will be passed onto the organisation(s) that undertake the day to day maintenance of the path. Your details will not be added to any mailing lists.
