From the Victorian splendour of Combe Martin and Ilfracombe, the Coast Path continues past the popular surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton with miles of golden sand between them. Bideford to Bude

43 miles in 3 days  (Difficulty: Challenging)

A strenuous stretch of Coast Path taking in the North Devon Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Hartland Peninsula before crossing the county boundary into Cornwall. Having started off gently on the Tarka Trail, there are soon some dramatic headlands that contrast with numerous picturesque river valleys, making this one of the most diverse sections of Coast Path. Bude to Tintagel

21 miles in 2 days  (Difficulty: Challenging)

From the popular holiday destination at Bude to the legendary Tintagel, this walk offers something for all ages to enjoy. There are options for short circular walks from both the start and end destinations suitable for young families, while the two day stretch of Coast Path is quite strenuous. There are some dramatic headlands that contrast with numerous picturesque river valleys, making this one of the most diverse sections of Coast Path. Ilfracombe to Saunton 

17 miles in 2 days  (Difficulty: Moderate)

This walk is part of the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a truly spectacularly wild and beautiful section of the Coast Path. It’s also one of the most diverse. Starting in the traditional Victorian seaside resort of Ilfracombe, it then becomes more rugged with some steep ascents and descents, before taking you past the popular surfing beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton with miles of golden sands between them. From Saunton, you can explore the heart of the UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve at Braunton Burrows, which is teeming with wildlife including rare birds and butterflies. Find out more...

Charmouth to Abbotsbury 

16 miles in 2 days. (Difficulty: Easy)

This walk is a great introduction to the Jurassic Coast, England’s first UNESCO designated natural World Heritage Site, which covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline from East Devon to Dorset, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history. Charmouth is one of the best places to find fossils, with some of the best ones people have found are on display in the Heritage Centre.
