The South West Coast Path Association is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of anyone using our website and the confidentiality of any information that you provide us with. The purpose of this statement is to set out how we use any personal information that we may obtain from you.

We are registered under the Data Protection Act and comply with the Act in all our dealings with your personal data. Use and collection of personal information

In general you can visit our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. If, however, you use our shop you will need to register and you will be asked to provide certain information such as your contact details. We will store this data and hold it on our association database.

We may use information that you provide:

  • To register you with our shop and to administer your order
  • For assessment and analysis, e.g. marketing, customer and product analysis, to enable us to review, develop and improve our services.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • If we are under a legal duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with or meet any legal obligation.

What data is collected and how it is used?

Sensitive permissions and data

If your device supports augmented reality we will request access to your camera. This is for the purpose of displaying augmented reality content over real-world imagery.

  • We do not store nor collect any images processed on your device. 
  • We never send your imagery or any personal data to a third parties unless you explicitly choose to.
  • The only data that can be sent and collected is your responses to our survey which you must explicitly choose to enter and send.

App usage data

Our mobile apps do not collect usage data. Our application is built using the Unity game engine and AR Foundation.
