When it comes to the South West Coast Path, there’s more than just the trail to explore. Every month we share lots of exciting content to inspire you and delve deeper into exciting areas like art, culture and heritage.
Inspired By The Coast
The South West Coast Path has long since inspired a whole host of creative works. Authors like Rudyard Kipling, Daphne Du Maurier, Thomas Hardy, Agatha Christie, Simon Armitage, Bill Bryson (we could go on!) have all taken inspiration from this glorious trail. Artists and sculptures such as J.W. Turner, Barbara Hepworth, Damian Hirst and Kurt Jackson have also used the Path as their muse. With this in mind, and to show our support for the arts during the coronavirus pandemic, we launched a project called Inspired By The Coast. To celebrate the amazing work that this Path inspires and share a new perspective on this unique trail.
