Dogs on the Coast Path
Dogs are welcome on all 630 miles of the Coast Path, so there’s plenty for you both to explore.
"Hi, I’m Poppy. Welcome to the South West Coast Path National Trail, my favourite place to go walking. Let me show you around.
I hope to see you following in my paw prints and exploring the amazing coastline of the South West. My favourite stretch of the trail is Porthcothan to Mawgan Porth - Bedruthan Steps is one of our favourite places in the whole of the UK (make sure you try to catch it at low tide so you can do down to the beaches!), be sure to say hello if you see me!"
On this page there's lots of useful information that will help you enjoy your time on the SWCP. Access amazing walks. Learn how to stay safe and what your owner should do if you get into trouble. Find out when dogs are and aren't allowed on the beaches (and which ones let us on all year round!). And discover why walking the Coast Path really is better for you than a loop round the park. You can also brush up on your Coast Path etiquette. We share this Path with lots of people and other animals, so its important to be well behaved and respectful of everyone else.
