Walk - Mullion Cove & Predannack Wollas
3.8 miles (6.1 km)
Mullion Cove - TR12 7ES Mullion Cove
Moderate - Mostly flat, but with a few short steep ascents and descents. Paths may be wet or muddy.
A clifftop walk with stunning coastal views, around a flower-fringed plateau high above the sea, visiting Predannack Wollas, whose farming traditions go right back to the Bronze Age. The walk returns across the Lizard National Nature Reserve, on moorland and heathland dotted with prehistoric burial mounds and a medieval stone cross. A lovely walk in autumn, when migrant moths and butterflies can be seen over the reedbeds and birds of prey hunting over the wet moorland have been known to include rare breeds such as marsh harriers and black kites. Also a good for walk for dogs as it passes a beach and pub where dogs are welcome.
