Walk - Predannack Wollas & Mullion Cove
3.8 miles (6.1 km)
Predannack Wollas National Trust Car Park - TR127EZ Predannack Wollas Car Park
Moderate - Mostly flat, but with a few short steep ascents and descents. Paths may be wet or muddy.
A clifftop walk with stunning coastal views, around a flower-fringed plateau high above the sea. It visits the picturesque Mullion Cove, with a fishing-boat harbour and an island, formed of lava, that is home to many nesting seabirds. The walk returns across the Lizard National Nature Reserve, on moorland and heathland dotted with prehistoric burial mounds and a medieval stone cross. A lovely walk in autumn, when migrant moths and butterflies can be seen over the reedbeds and birds of prey hunting over the wet moorland have been known to include rare breeds such as marsh harriers and black kites. Also a good for walk for dogs as it passes a beach and pub where dogs are welcome.
If you are starting the walk at Mullion Cove, follow the route directions from 4, continuing from 1 when you reach Predannack Wollas.
