Walk - Reskajeage and Tehidy
7.0 miles (11.2 km)
North Cliffs coast car park - TR14 0HE North Cliffs coast car park
Challenging - Plenty of ascent and descent, some of it steep; coastal path, inland paths and rough tracks.
At Reskajeage the Coast Path travels high above sheer cliffs that tower over tiny sandy coves and in the summer provide a home for noisy colonies of nesting seabirds. Heading inland, the route descends to Red River Valley, now a local nature reserve but once one of Cornwall's busiest tin streaming areas. From here it follows one of the old mineral tramways through the ancient estate of Tehidy, owned in the eighteenth century by Francis Basset, who used his vast fortune from mining leases to help defend Plymouth.
