Accommodation Way Maker

Becoming a Way Maker gives you the chance to link into the year-round walking market and capitalise on your location on or near the Path.

Visitors to the South West Coast Path always need a place to stay. Some are looking to stop just a short while as part of their journey to complete the linear route, but others are looking for somewhere to base themselves whilst they enjoy coastal walks in the area.

We promote a wide range of Way Maker accommodation including B&Bs, luxury hotels, hostels, farm stays, pub stays, glamping pods, camp sites and cottages. So whatever type of stay you offer, you’ll be sure to boost your bookings with one of our Way Maker packages. And as you get a direct link from our website to yours, there is no third-party booking fees. What our Way Makers say

Don't just take our word for it. Find out what some of our existing Way Makers love about being linked to the South West Coast Path.

Bed and Breakfast/Farm Stays

Our packages are ideally suited for B&B owners, guest houses and farm stays looking to give walkers a taste of home comforts, with friendly hosting, local knowledge and a fantastic breakfast to start their day. Offering single night stays is recommended but not essential.

“Catering for walkers has helped us to extend our season from February through to December and we’re now welcoming visitors from all over the world."    Channel Vista Guest House

“The membership is amazing value, we get so much business through the Association that it’s the only advertising we do. Walkers are fabulous, I haven't had a walker I don’t like! More and more people are putting their own itineraries together, so the fact that walkers can find us on your website is great for us.” Silver Cottage B & B

Self Catering

Walkers love self-catering as it gives them more freedom and flexibility to enjoy the Path and the surrounding area. Choose from our standard packages above if you have just one property or check out our Multi Package to list multiple properties.

Some of our current Way Makers include:

“The South West Coast Path is a massive all year-round draw for our customers, especially as we specialize in dog-friendly accommodation. Tapping into this market through our business membership with SWCPA is important to us.” Bolberry Farm Cottages

Hotels

From small family run hotels to larger luxury venues, our visitors to the Path enjoy combining comfort with exploring the coast all year round.

“With almost all of our eleven hotels close to the South West Coast Path, we are thrilled to be working with the South West Coast Path Association on celebrating and preserving this great asset to the region.” Brend Hotels

Pubs and Inns

Stopping off for a great pub lunch, snack and drink in a beautiful location along the Path is all part of the walking experience, so make sure visitors can find you by linking as a member to our walks near you.

“We’ve noticed this summer, a large number of locals and non-locals stopping off with us for lunch as part of their day walk on the Path and then booking to come back to stay with us at a later date." The Cricket Inn, Gold SW Tourism Award winner 2018
