During a bi-annual survey of the South West Coast Path, a number of improvements were identified around the Carne Beach area of the coast path. These included a new kissing gate, rebuilding a historical stile, scrub clearance and access and surface improvements. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, this project was completed.
On Thursday 26th September the South West Coast Path International Friendship Trail was opened at Maple Cross Nature Reserve, Cape Chin in Canada.

Last week was a landmark occasion with the celebratory opening of 6x route change improvements to the South West Coast Path along the 35 mile Exmoor section.
