Great Western Railway
We are proud to have worked with Great Western Railway over the past 3 years. The valuable partnership has seen GWR support the charity in a number of ways:
- Trailblazing campaign sponsor to celebrate the charity's 50th anniversary in 2023
- Headline sponsor for the South West Coast Path Photographer of the Year competition supporting an exhibition at Paddington Station, London in 2024 and 2025.
- Sustainable Transport sponsor for our 2024 Every Mile Matters campaign
- Worked in partnership with GWR and Devon and Cornwall Railway Partnership to produce 'Rail to Trail' boards at 5 key railway stations in Cornwall, encouraging public transport access to the South West Coast Path.

On the photography exhibition, Amanda Burns, GWR Sales and Marketing Director, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support the South West Coast Path with its Photographer of the Year competition.
“Thousands of our customers are drawn to the Coast Path every year and we are proud to deliver a sustainable means of transport for them to do so. This competition will help to promote the beauty it has to offer, and we can’t wait to see some adventure-inspiring images.”

On the Every Mile Matters 2024 campaign, Jo Hake, GWR Marketing Manager said,
"We are delighted to be able to support the South West Coast Path and their Every Mile Matters campaign. At GWR we are dedicated to investing in the communities we serve. What better way than by helping to protect the long-term future of this National Trail, enabling people to continue to discover all that the south west has to offer."
"All seven of the Coast Path Challenge walks are accessible by public transport, and we would encourage as many people to take part as possible."

Our Trustee Ken Carter said,
'We are so happy that GWR has renewed as a partner and hope that together we can continue to encourage their customers to experience all the benefits our fantastic South West coastline can offer. Walking the Coast Path provides access to nature and some of the best beaches in the country, linking villages and towns that offer superb restuarants, pubs and cafes some of which are our 'Waymakers' and fellow supporters of the Trail'
