Top landscape photographer to judge photo competition
Award-winning Devon-based photographer Adam Burton has been named as one of the competition
judges for this year’s annual South West Coast Path photo competition.
Earlier this year, a collection of his stunning photographs of the South West Coast Path were showcased in a book of the same name, published by Francis Lincoln.
Some of these awe-inspiring images, including one taken of St Michael’s Mount in Cornwall which will grace the October cover of Cornwall Life, are now on display in the National Maritime Museum Cornwall’s Waterside café in Falmouth.
Mark Owen, National Trail Officer for the South West Coast Path, said: “The South West Coast
Path is one of the world’s greatest walks and it’s easy to see why in Adam’s book. He captures
the magic and wonder of our beautiful coastline in his photographs and inspires others to
experience this special landscape for themselves.”
Adam says of the Coast Path: “The coastline of the South West has always been very special to me. Producing the book gave me the perfect opportunity to visit some of the world's finest coastal locations, when the majestic scenery is showcased in glorious natural light.”
The South West Coast Path’s annual photo competition, which closes on December 31, is open to budding photographers of all ages and abilities; prizes include a stay at a property courtesy of Cornish Cottage Holidays, as well as the chance to grace the official 2014 Coast Path calendar.
