Thank You to Macs Adventure for Making a Difference!

We’re celebrating a wonderful boost for the South West Coast Path, thanks to our long-standing partners at Macs Adventure. Their recent donation of £6,417 is a fantastic contribution towards the future of our beloved National Trail, and we couldn’t be more grateful. This funding will go directly into path improvements scheduled for 2026, helping ensure the Trail remains world-class for everyone who walks it.
Julian Gray, Director of the South West Coast Path Association, shared his appreciation:
“We value our partnership with Macs Adventure as they create such memorable experiences along the South West Coast Path. Their generous support of the charity is making a real difference, helping us enhance the National Trail for everyone.”
And memorable it certainly has been. In 2025 alone, Macs Adventure helped more than 1,400 people explore the South West Coast Path. Travellers came from far and wide — the US, UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, Austria and the Netherlands — all drawn to the magic of our dramatic coastline. Among them were 15 incredible individuals who completed the newly launched Full South West Coast Path itinerary in one go — an achievement worthy of serious admiration!
Jim Eite, Product & Commercial Director at Macs Adventure, added:
"It’s been fantastic to see another successful year supporting the South West Coast Path. Thanks to all our customers who chose Macs for their walking holiday, we’ve been able to increase our donation and can’t wait to see what projects it will help support. Huge thanks to the Association for all the incredible work they do maintaining this wonderful route."
We’re truly thrilled to continue working with the Macs Adventure team — a B Corp Certified company leading the way in responsible and sustainable travel. Their commitment to high social and environmental standards aligns perfectly with our own mission to protect, improve and celebrate the South West Coast Path.
It’s uplifting to know that nearly 1,500 visitors experienced the South West thanks to Macs Adventure, discovering the landscapes, wildlife, culture and communities that make this Trail so special. We couldn’t resist asking them what their customers thought — and the feedback made everyone at the charity smile.
"My husband and I highly recommend this trip! We've done a number of Macs trips and they have all been great for their own reasons. What we loved about this trip was the variety of the towns/accommodations we overnighted in and the fact that we could stop for a leisurely lunch, cold beverage, or snack in tiny little towns during the hike each day. We never had to carry food. The views were absolutely stunning and the daily hiking totals were just right; we always arrived in town for our obligatory happy hour post-hike beer with a view before getting cleaned up to briefly explore the town and have dinner."

"This first step of the SWCP is a hidden gem. Gorgeous landscape, varied path trail, strenuous and relaxing parts, beautiful villages and an overwhelming hospitality in B&Bs, hotels, pubs and restaurants make this tour an outstanding experience. I enjoyed every minute of the walk and look forward to continuing on the next steps on the SWCP."
