Coast Path Connectors Autumn Weekend Walks
This autumn, the charity's Community Engagement team have put together a series of weekend walks. These are aimed at people who cannot make our weekday community walks, due to work or caring commitments and would like to benefit from a supported walk for health and wellbeing. The walks will be run along the same principles as all of our weekday Coast Path Connectors walks; social and friendly walking groups open to anyone, which encourage people to walk at their own pace, and discover their local coastal environment. All of the walks will be led by either a member of our staff team or our amazing team of trained walk leader volunteers. There will be one per month from September to November per hub area (North Devon, Dorset, Torbay, Cornwall and Plymouth) and the walks will be approximately 5-7 miles in length.
Not only will they be great for exploring the Path, after the summer busyness has come to an end, but also a good opportunity to meet the local SWCPA staff and volunteer team. Full details can be found on our Coast Path Connectors pages, and then click on your local area and registration is via Eventbrite.

Coast Path Connectors walkers in Ringstead
Alex Turner, our Coast Path Connectors Project Manager, explains, "We have been delivering Coast Path Connectors walks for over two years now and these have been going well. In some areas, we’ve been able to deliver evening and weekend walks where we’ve had volunteers support. This autumn, we’re excited to trial weekend walks across all our hub areas, helping us reach more people (including those unable to join midweek) and extend the health, wellbeing, and nature-connection benefits of our walking programme."
