Hannah Kentish-Game BEM

Trustee
For me, the South West Coast Path has been more than just a path - it's been an important source of mental and physical well-being since I made Cornwall my home in 2019. Now, as a co-opted Trustee since 2025, I'm thrilled to play a part in its preservation. While completing the entire path is a lifelong ambition, every walk I've taken confirms the importance of protecting this incredible natural asset.
My career has been built on a foundation of operational delivery and project management, spanning from public health to the humanitarian sector. This journey has honed my ability to strategically plan and effectively execute, skills I currently bring to my role as Events & Contingents Programme Manager for the UK Scouts. Here, I lead the implementation of large-scale events and UK attendance at international events, navigating complex projects and engaging diverse stakeholders – experience directly applicable to the strategic oversight of the SWCPA.
Outside of my day-to-day, I'm passionate about strong governance and making a tangible community impact. My voluntary work includes operational roles with organisations like the Scouts, London 2012, and the Invictus Games. At The Scouts, I served as the first UK Youth Commissioner from 2014-18, during which one of my proudest achievements was leading a bye law change to ensure 50% of the charity council is made up of young people. I've also held strategic leadership positions as a former trustee of a large UK membership-based charity and as co-founder and chair of an international charity. As a previous South West ambassador for the Young Trustees Movement, I championed effective and inclusive charity governance. In 2020, I was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to Scouting and Young People.
