Carlyon Bay Hotel Carlyon Bay Hotel
Moderate - Coastal and woodland paths which may be muddy, with some short stretches of ascent and descent.
With panoramic sea views in all directions, this walk follows paths trodden by feet over many thousands of years, where the way is marked by ancient stone crosses. This is Daphne du Maurier country, as well as being a seat of King Mark of Cornwall, as featured in Arthurian legends, and an air of romance hangs over the secluded coves and the hidden house of Menabilly, the inspiration for du Maurier's 'Manderley'.
If travelling by car to the National Trust Car Park at Coombe, then the walk is 5 miles (8km) in length.
