Walk - Highlands End - Stonebarrow Hill Walk
6.5 miles (10.5 km)
Highlands End Holiday Park - DT6 6AR Highlands End Holiday Park
Challenging - An arduous walk with a lot of ascent and descent, some of it steep, along footpaths, tracks and quiet lanes, across medieval field systems and open heathland.
There is an optional detour around the back of the most strenuous section, over Golden Cap, and an optional shortcut, for those who don't mind stretches of steep ascent, over the top of Chardown Hill. The longer route here passes St Wite's Well, said to be able to cure eye problems and other ailments, and both routes travel high above the surrounding landscape, with tremendous vistas in all directions.
