Walk - Stonebarrow Hill Walk from Golden Gap Holiday Park
6.5 miles (10.5 km)
Golden Cap Holiday Park - DT6 6JX Golden Cap Holiday Park
Challenging - An arduous walk with a lot of ascent and descent, some of it steep, along footpaths, tracks and quiet lanes, across mediaeval field systems and open heathland.
A demanding walk with an optional detour around the back of the most strenuous section, over Golden Cap, and an optional shortcut, for those who don't mind stretches of steep ascent, over the top of Chardown Hill. The longer route passes St Wite's Well, said to be able to cure eye problems and other ailments, and both routes travel high above the surrounding landscape, with tremendous vistas in all directions.
