Our Projects - North Cliffs easy access path
The section of the South West Coast Path between Basset’s Cove and the North Cliffs, 1 mile north of Camborne, provides excellent opportunities for access for all given it’s largely level topography, close car parking and excellent views of the north Cornish coast. The National Trust has already improved an 800m section of the coast path to make it suitable for wheelchair access. The project involved the installation of five stock-proof easy access gates at the entrances to the field, rearranging farm access gates, groundworks to ensure safe access from the public highway and levelling of other sections of path. This project has now improved access to the coast path from the nearby network of paths at Tehidy Country Park (managed by Cornwall Council), making it suitable for all-terrain mobility buggies, and providing a greater range of routes for people with disabilities.
