Our Projects - Morte Point Resurfacing
As a result of people and water erosion, every few years the Coast Path on the north side of Morte Point and near Bennett’s Mouth need resurfacing with local shillet, to avoid it becoming gullied and difficult to walk on. Access to these sections is difficult, and only small machinery can be used to move the material making it very labour intensive.
The project was undertaken by the National Trust with funding from the North Devon AONB and the South West Coast Path Association.
