Our Projects - Bennets Mouth Footbridge

In early 2017, the National Trust rebuilt the existing footbridge at Bennets Mouth, between Mortehoe and Lee Bay by replacing rotten handrail and posts with oak and stainless steel fixings. Funding from the South West Coast Path Association, enabled them to upgrade the spec and use oak, rather than treated softwood. This means that it should last many years, and reduces the use of harmful chemicals.
