Thanks to our Coastal Communities Funding, Cornwall Council undertook to repair this section of Path near Caerhayes Castle. Slumping of the cliff meant that the Path had to be moved inland slightly and a flight of steps replaced. At the same time the opportunity was taken to widen the Path to allow people to walk side by side.

On Thursday 26th September the South West Coast Path International Friendship Trail was opened at Maple Cross Nature Reserve, Cape Chin in Canada.

Last week was a landmark occasion with the celebratory opening of 6x route change improvements to the South West Coast Path along the 35 mile Exmoor section.
