Our Projects - Venton Cove slipway improvement and repairs

This important work was coordinated by Cornwall Council using funds secured by the South West Coast Path Association from the Coastal Communities Fund, and supported with partnership funding from Natural England.

The slipway at Venton Cove was repaired and strengthened creating a safe walkway for the South West Coast Path as well as improving the slipway.

Large concrete blocks had been dislodged by storms at the base of the slipway and the Path surface had been washed out making it hard to cross. Without this work, there was a need to consider a lengthy diversion.
