Our Projects - St Loy’s Cove improvements

Storms had washed large round boulders across the path which ran across the beach head. Using funding from the Coastal Communities Fund achieved by the South West Coast Path Association in 2014, these boulders were carefully realigned by CORMAC to provide a level walkway with improvements to drainage on adjacent sections to reduce the risk of future wash-out. The hedge bank destroyed by the 2014 storms was also rebuilt, and the steps eroded by footfall and the weather, were strengthened by use of locally sourced stone, and the waymarking along the Path was renewed.
