Our Projects - Embury Beacon

3 Embury Beacon Fort is the site of an Iron Age Hillfort on the west side of the Hartland Peninsula, to the North of Bude and West of Clovelly in North Devon. Although the South West Coast Path passes through the monument parallel with the precipitous cliff edge, an inland route, which runs outside the outer ramparts, has since been added. The scheme of works was undertaken sequentially, with results of the geophysical survey being used to more fully inform the location of the targeted trenches/ excavation. Embury Beacon Fort is a Scheduled Monument.
