Our Projects - Burgh Island

20 Burgh Island is a popular and distinctive destination on the South Devon coast near Bigbury. Most visitors visit the small prominent building without understanding its history or importance. It is built on the site of a medieval chapel, at the highest point on the south-west side of the island, overlooking the channel. The works undertaken included internal and external re-pointing, minor replacement of stone work where missing, crack stitching, repair of lintels, re-bedding of tops of walls, replacement of door frame, patch repairs to lime render, and installation of a single interpretation panel.
