Our Projects - Park Head

5 Just north of Bedruthan steps in North Cornwall the site of Park Head Barrow comprises the remains of a Bronze Age bowl barrow with the traces of an external ditch and forms part of a wider group of 8 barrows on the headland. The work comprised a topographical and geophysical survey of the wider area and the excavation of two quadrants of the barrow structure and a 1x1 m test pit located to the NE of the barrow. Excavation of the barrow established two phases of construction, as well as an indication of its use. More details and photos are available in the accompanying file.
