Our Projects - Nare Head

15 This project relates to the site of a World War II Starfish command bunker, on Nare Head. This site was set up by the Special Effects dept. of Elstree studio to act as a decoy to lure bombers away from Falmouth. Guided by a survey and research, the bunker has been subsequently cleaned out and elements rebuilt to their original dimensions and a gate put in so that the site can be safely accessed by passing visitors. Interpretation is also being installed both inside the bunker and outside.
