Two sections of the Coast Path around Baggy Point had become eroded and so were levelled out, resurfaced with shillet and had new side drains installed to reduce future erosion and make them more pleasant and easier to walk. The work was undertaken by the National Trust with funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project.
On Thursday 26th September the South West Coast Path International Friendship Trail was opened at Maple Cross Nature Reserve, Cape Chin in Canada.

Last week was a landmark occasion with the celebratory opening of 6x route change improvements to the South West Coast Path along the 35 mile Exmoor section.
