Our Projects - River Erme Crossing - Phase 2

Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, the project involved restoring the surface and retaining wall of the historic slipway leading to the beach and Erme river crossing at Wonwell in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The slipway takes the South West Coast Path down to the Erme estuary edge. Specialist stonemason contractor John Ireland was employed to re-bed the stone surfacing and fill the voids, as well as surfacing the approach path.
