Our Projects - Sharrow Point 2

Sharrow is a very popular beach in South East Cornwall which is accessed from the South West Coast Path via a path which runs down steep steps. Another project replaced a flight of steel steps on this route. Once below this flight of steps the route runs down a rocky and eroding channel to the beach. This route has never properly had the steps installed. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, additional and upgraded steps made from hardwood risers and in places steel risers have been completed. The rock path surface had to be drilled and hacked out in places to install the steps.
