Our Projects - Fish-In-The-Well Rock, East Prawle

Devon County Council was made aware of a drainage problem on the South West Coast Path (SWCP) in the vicinity of Fish-In-The-Well Rock, East Prawle, a few hundred metres to the east of the National Trust owned Prawle Point Car Park. A solution was decided upon which would have involved digging out ditches between the path and the edge of the field, to catch the water, graded so as to drain water into new pipes installed under the path, which would release the water onto the coastal slope below the path. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, this project was succesfully completed.
