Our Projects - The Waterings
On the Lizard in Cornwall unprecedented rainfall in November 2012 resulted in storm flow, which caused significant erosion of a 100m stretch of public footpath, which forms the main route between Lizard Village and the popular sandy beach at Housel Bay. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, this project has enabled a full reinstatement of the Waterings path and the installation of additional drainage on the South West Coast Path.
