Our Projects - Babbacombe Farm

Babbacombe is a remote section of the South West Coast Path on the North Devon coast between Bucks Mills and Westward Ho! with its far reaching views to Clovelly and Lundy Island. To the west and to the east you can see far beyond the Taw and Torridge Estuary and Baggy Point, to Exmoor. This section of coast was bought by the National Trust from The Pine-Coffin family to whom it had belonged since the time of Henry II. The project has re-routed approximately 200 metres of the South West Coast Path, and has surfaced, renewed and added steps, created a revetment and removed the old staircase. As well as this 20 metre of sympathetic boardwalk has been completed.
