Our Projects - Seatown bridge

Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, a project was set up to replace a footbridge on the South West Coast Path in West Dorset. The existing footbridge had become tired and no longer fit for purpose. The location of the bridge is just west of Seatown, on the Golden Cap Estate. The bridge was replaced with a bridge of a similar design. It was constructed of Oak and raised up on supports so it will last for a long time. Minor work to the path surface around the bridge was carried out at the same time.
