Our Projects - Wheal Rose – Cot Valley path creation

Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, this project was designed to create a diversion from the South West Coast Path avoiding the use of the road and to provide access to Wheal Rose stamps. The project required cutting the vegetation on the leat path, building a raised walkway across a boggy area and building a timber walkway on the leat path over a ditch. 20 granite steps have been built giving improved access to Wheal Rose stamps and linking an established footpath system
