Our Projects - Falmouth phase 2

The stretch of coast path between Maenporth Beach and Swanpool Beach is very well used, not just by walkers of the South West Coast Path but by families too. The aim of the project was to improve the overall ease of use of the path and therefore improve the users experience of the path. To do this, the contractor has scraped the path level leaving a slight camber towards the sea. New drainage grips have been put in where flowing water is directed off the path, preventing the problem occurring in the future. The scrub clearance has helped the path to dry out, removing any tunnelling effect which, in the past, had been left to grow.
