Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, this project has enhanced safety for walkers along the South West Coast Path at Lansallos near Polperro in Cornwall. The path in places runs adjacent to the fence-line and to avoid steep drops on the cliff edge a 250 metre stretch of fencing has been put in place.
On Thursday 26th September the South West Coast Path International Friendship Trail was opened at Maple Cross Nature Reserve, Cape Chin in Canada.

Last week was a landmark occasion with the celebratory opening of 6x route change improvements to the South West Coast Path along the 35 mile Exmoor section.
