Our Projects - Sharkham Point

Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, the project aims were to solve long term drainage issues and footpath erosion on a busy section of the South West Coast Path at Sharkham Headland. This has involved clearing areas of scrub to allow a mini digger to dig in gullies and install drainage piping. The gully is now linked to an existing drainage system on the coast path. A section of boardwalk steps have been installed so water is able to drain below. This will much improve and make safe a very popular section of the path that is enjoyed by both visitors and locals.
