Our Projects - Putsborough Easy Access Route
The aim of this Unlocking Our Coastal Heritage Project was to widen the existing narrow 1kilometre path section of Marine Drive to a distance of approx 1.5 metres, resurface the path and level the path off so there was less of a camber. Work was partly funded by the National Trust, Georgeham Parish Council and Putsborough Sands Limited. One of the main benefits of carrying out the work was to allow a 500 metre stretch of South West Coast Path to become accessible to people in off-road Trampers. The easy access route can be seen at www.southwestcoastpath.com/walksdb/675.
