Our Projects - Crackington Haven

Previously the South West Coast Path took a straight line up and down a steep section of Cam Beak, resulting in an eroded pathway which was very uncomfortable to negotiate. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project. a path has been created which zigzags down the steep section to offer a much easier and level footpath and to reduce the traffic on the straight line, so the eroded path can recover. New water diversion channels have been installed to ensure good drainage on the new route. The old unwanted boardwalk which crosses a boggy section of the old route will be removed.
