Our Projects - Cot Valley Bridge

The aim of this project was to construct a wooden bridge across the stream in the Cot valley using standard design from Cornwall Council. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, this now has provided safe access across the stream to the restored and conserved Wheal Rose tin stamps. The stamps have been conserved through the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage programme. The inclusion of interpretation, within the same programme makes this an additional benefit and interest for visitors to west Cornwall. There were no problems except that time scales have been tight.
