Our Projects - Durgan Improvements
A number of improvements were identified to the extremely popular walk between to gardens along the Helford River, Glendurgan and Trebah. One particular section of path runs through a woodland area and is prone to getting wet and has a high risk of suffering future coastal erosion due to the prevailing winds here, so through negotiation with both landowners here, it was decided to move the path inland slightly. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project this gets the South West Coast Path out of wet muddy woodland area with little or no views into a field, which is open and will allow walkers views over the Helford River.
