Our Projects - Sennen Cove to Land’s End
Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, this was a major project to repair erosion to the Coast Path and adjacent coastal heath between Land’s End and Sennen Cove, caused by heavy use of about 100,000 walkers per year. Visually this was one of the worst sections of the entire South West Coast Path. This is an on-going project to stone pitch about ½ mile of the route with natural granite to provide a narrower path with a better walking surface, with the bare areas either side re-vegetated. The work is being coordinated by the National Trust, working with Cornwall Council and the Land’s End Company.
