Our Projects - Bucks Mill scrub clearance

Bucks Mills is a remote section of the South West Coast Path on the North Devon coast between Clovelly and Westward Ho! There are far reaching views to Clovelly and Lundy Island to the west. To the east you can see far beyond the Taw, the Torridge Estuary, Baggy Point and on to Exmoor. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, the project succeeded in clearing the scrub around and on the hill fort rampart. This would allow the hill fort to be visible to people walking on the South West Coast Path. As well as allowing the hill fort to be visible the work will be helping to protect the ancient monument.
