Our Projects - Polridmouth

This is a busy section of the South West Coast Path between Fowey and Gribbin Head. The path in this section was previously re-routed around a landslip. The steps on this realignment were not of an adequate standard for safe and easy walking. This project supports other Great South West Walk projects in the area. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, approximately 45 upgraded steps have been installed. Some were located on rocky ground and required steel pins. All the timber used in the project was Chestnut from Cornwall.
