Our Projects - Porthmeor to Bosigran

The stretch of the South West Coast Path linking Porthmeor to Bosigran was not clearly defined, crossing several difficult to pass small streams. The area was muddy underfoot. The stile was unfriendly to many visitors and also muddy underfoot. Granite steps were required on the worst section. Stepping stones were required at the stream’s crossing point. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, all these requirements were successfully completed through this project. The project has brought improved access for all, to link the two areas with a more clearly defined path. Further work under the commercial partnership to install granite waymarkers will continue to help with the route definition.
