Our Projects - Coombe Open Access
This section of coastal corridor at Coombe Farm, near Fowey, has the South West Coast Path running through it. By fencing the seaward cliff edge of this field it remains either as permanent pasture or grassland. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, there is now open access to walkers within the whole area of this field. This project adds further value to the RDPE projects 334, 44, 54 and 334. The fenceline has been cut and cleared. A post and 3 strand of barbed wire fence using chestnut timber has been erected in such a way as to minimise the visual intrusion it makes in the landscape.
