Cliff erosion around Ayrmer Cove has meant the National Trust has been proactively moving stretches of fence line adjacent to the South West Coast Path further inland, giving walkers the option of walking further from the cliff edge. This work was funded through a donation to the South West Coast Path Association from the nearby Challaborough Bay Holiday Park, and the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project.
On Thursday 26th September the South West Coast Path International Friendship Trail was opened at Maple Cross Nature Reserve, Cape Chin in Canada.

Last week was a landmark occasion with the celebratory opening of 6x route change improvements to the South West Coast Path along the 35 mile Exmoor section.
